Appello triumphant in three categories at prestigious industry awards

It was a night to remember for Appello at the prestigious UK Contact Centre Forum (UKCCF) awards dinner, being crowned winners in two acclaimed award categories and being presented with Silver in a third.

Best Use of Technology

Our digital emergency call handling platform, CareNet EVO, won Best Use of Technology in the highly competitive category. Since launching in 2021, the platform used by operators in the monitoring centre has continued to enable digital transformation in the telecare sector, enabling thousands of customers to adopt digital telecare technology. The platform used by the Appello Careline team, and other service providers across the UK, was also recognised by judges for enabling the delivery of leading emergency call handling services which deliver a greater experience for the most vulnerable in our communities.

Best Home Agent of the Year

COVID-19 resulted in significant changes to business operations, one of the most impactful was the introduction of remote working capabilities. The initial success meant Appello continued to invest and grow this capability, whilst maintaining a core presence within our monitoring centres in New Milton, Chippenham and Norwich. Testament to this professional approach to remote working, and how it has been utilised to create a more robust, adaptable service, Appello were presented with Silver in the category Best Home Agent of the Year.

Best Manager of the Year

There was also individual success for the Appello team in the acclaimed category Best Manager of the Year. Dave Kinane joined Appello in 2022 as Customer Service Manager for the Out of Hours team, and immediately delivered significant impact within his department and across the business. Dave was recognised by judges for his positive contribution in enabling measurable service improvements and his outstanding customer focus, which has further developed relationships with customers.

The UKCCF awards ceremony took place in London on Friday 24th November 2023.
