SmartLife was launched as the first fully digital dispersed alarm with interoperability, and unprecedented connectivity options. It has been developed with digital connectivity via the European ratified variation of SCAIP, EN50134-9 and also offers customers the option of digital connectivity via British Standard, BS8521-2, also known as NOW-IP. Furthermore, SmartLife offers customers both connectivity via 4G, WiFi and ethernet.
These types of protocols are industry approved open protocols, designed to create a level of consistency in the sector and enable service providers to have greater choice and flexibility.
Following customer demand for SmartLife amongst those connected to a legacy analogue monitoring platform, we recognised this challenge and invested resource to integrate TT92 with our SmartLife dispersed alarm. This means that it is capable of connecting to an existing monitoring centre along with SCAIP, NOW-IP and BS8521-1.
By making this decision, it offers those with a Tunstall ARC, a new choice of dispersed alarm equipment, one that gives them significantly greater flexibility going forward.
