Appello achievements over 2022

The Technology Enabled Care (TEC) sector has faced many challenges throughout the past year. Our healthcare sector has continued to feel stretched, Ambulance wait times have become prolonged and the global economy has remained uncertain. All which has meant we have had to be adaptive, whilst continuing to strive towards our short- and long-term goals.

Although our briefing paper launched in the Autumn, ‘How ready are we for the digital switch’, indicated that the adoption of digital services within the housing sector was behind the required adoption curve, we have still  seen over the year more and more housing providers making the switch from analogue to digital technology or coming to Appello for advice and guidance on starting their digital journey.

Therefore, amongst forward thinking organisations, we have seen our SmartTEC range in high demand this year for those ready to upgrade.

As digital leaders in Technology Enabled Care, although faced with challenges, Appello have managed to reach some significant achievements:

Appello

  • Welcomed many new customers to benefit from our range of services including ATEB, Sovereign, Optivo, B3 Living, Progress Housing and many more.
  • We’ve reached over 8 million calls to date.
  • Appello Proactive Wellbeing Monitoring: Launched a new offering which combines leading innovations, technologies and service providers, to deliver data-built insights into people and property.
  • Expanded on our offices in Hampshire and Wiltshire with new locations in Lancashire, Norfolk and Berkshire.

Careline

  • Launched CareNet EVO: Upgrading our existing monitoring platform to an even more stable, secure and robust cloud-based monitoring platform. Additionally, we introduced EVO into a number of other monitoring centres around the UK.
  • Acquired Lifeline24: Strengthening the services we can offer our respective customers, and the career opportunities for our respective employees.
  • Increased our team: From c.300 operators at the beginning of 2022 to c.500.
  • Extended our home working team, with employees now across the whole of the UK.

SmartTEC

  • Smart Living Solutions: Installed c.32,000 digital hardwired systems since launching in 2016.
  • SmartConnect: Installed the first system of many of our new hardwired solution.
  • SmartLife: Completed the development of our market first digital dispersed alarm, and dispatched over 1000 alarm units in the final few months of the year.
