About the company

Your Housing Group (YHG) operates more than 28,000 homes across the North West, Yorkshire, and the Midlands. YHG’s portfolio includes general properties for social and affordable rent, as well as retirement living developments. They focus on delivering high-quality homes and services to improve the welfare and safety of their residents.

The challenge

YHG’s multiple housing associations each had different telecare equipment and monitoring providers. The organisation needed to select a single provider capable of monitoring all associations and collaborating with its contact centre on non-call monitoring related issues like repairs and anti-social behaviour. They also wanted a solution that ensured continuity of service while meeting data integrity and GDPR requirements.

The solution and result

Appello successfully transferred monitoring services for over 4,500 connections from 10 incumbent providers, completing the project within two months. 

In December 2017, YHG selected Appello to provide digital telecare monitoring after demonstrating their ability to deliver affordable high quality tailored services across all associations.
