What the Industry Needs to Understand

This research is designed to create a comprehensive picture of the industry's readiness, allowing for informed strategic decision-making:

  • Switchover Readiness & Risk: There is an urgent need to understand the sector's awareness of the 2027 deadline and the extent to which organisations are actively planning the move from analogue to digital telecare. The survey seeks to identify if the deadline is a major concern and what temporary strategies, such as Analogue to Digital (A2D) converters, are being considered to manage existing hardwired systems.

  • Challenges and Strategic Drivers: It is vital to quantify the primary motivations for upgrading—whether the driver is network compliance, improved safety, or enhanced customer benefits. Simultaneously, the industry must identify and address common barriers, such as financial restraints and a lack of clarity from suppliers or communication providers.
  • Future Investment Priorities: Beyond the immediate switchover, housing leaders need to know where major investment is being prioritised. The survey will highlight the sector’s focus areas, such as achieving the Telecare Digital Switchover compared to other strategic priorities like Decarbonisation or Building Safety. It also seeks to define the sector's collective view of digital technology: is it seen primarily as a necessary compliance measure or a foundation for proactive care?

Plan Your 2026 Strategy with Sector-Wide Data

The aggregated results will provide housing leaders with the data to:

  • Benchmark Performance: See how the sector's preparedness and concerns compare across the board.
  • Inform Investment: Gain insight into the most effective solutions and planned expenditure for 2026, whether on Digital Telecare systems or Asset Management/Stock Condition systems.
  • Validate Strategy: Use sector trends to validate long-term plans regarding the expansion of technology usage, such as in proactive health monitoring or property condition monitoring.
