Go to siteA fall detector is a lightweight pendant which can be worn around the wrist or neck. It includes a small sensor to detect a change in motion as well as a change in the height of the pendant. Once the individual takes a hard fall, the fall detector will send an alarm to the emergency response centre. The button on the face of the fall detector can also be pressed to raise an alarm. When the alarm has been raised and gone through to the emergency monitoring centre, the team will speak to the individual through the alarm unit to assess the best course of action.
