As the leading emergency monitoring provider, supporting over 200,000 vulnerable individuals, we have seen the impact of COVID-19 on these parts of our communities. We have received an upturn in calls and seen a substantial increase in how long people need our support.
A significant majority of our service users live in supported housing, provided by housing associations, local authorities and other housing providers across the UK. These supported housing providers are our customers, and the people we are talking and working with every day.
Therefore, we have witnessed and admired, first-hand the commitment, dedication and selflessness for their customers – some of the most vulnerable in our communities.
These characteristics are qualities that those in the supported housing sector show normally, however throughout COVID-19 we have seen a willingness to go above and beyond. Ensuring that not just the obvious risks are considered but that the wider impacts on society such as loneliness, reduced physical activity, and even the ability to access groceries and medication, are overcome where possible.
