We are delighted to announce that Hanover has chosen Appello to provide end-to-end digital telecare services within its supported housing developments.
Appello’s award-winning call handling platform, CareNet EVO, is also being implemented across Hanover alarm receiving centres. This includes installing Appello’s flagship digital warden call system, Smart Living Solutions, in a large number of Hanover’s developments across Scotland.
The move to Appello follows a “rigorous and robust” process where different options were considered to ensure Hanover would have full digital capability ahead of the digital phone switchover. Appello stood out for its “customer-centric focus” and innovation within the industry.
Other key requirements included:
– a truly end-to-end digital solution
– a real partnership, with a provider who has the same values of collaboration and inclusion, respect, and accountability
– a commercial product, with the ability to build on services offered through the alarm receiving centres
– the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation
Craig Barlow, Managing Director at Appello said: “We’re excited to partner with Hanover Scotland and help bring end to end digital services to its customers. We’re looking forward to supporting Hanover’s move to digital and then exploring how they can build on the opportunities this offers for future growth.”
Donna Henderson, Director of Strategic Finance at Hanover Scotland said: “We’re absolutely delighted to work with Appello. We believe they are the perfect partner and fit – both strategically, from a future development and innovation perspective, as well as having the right solutions now for our current customers. When our board met Appello, they also felt our values were totally aligned, which was really important to us. We’ve got a great customer base and this partnership allows us to continue to offer the best possible services we can to support our customers.”
Appello and Hanover have successfully completed a pilot to upgrade four developments, with another 18 to follow over the coming months. Hanover is taking a risk-based approach to the programme, prioritising sites with older equipment. The remaining developments will implement Appello’s analogue to digital converter, SmartBridge, as an interim step to ensure safe services until they are also fully upgraded.
