Responses from our Best Companies engagement survey have seen Appello certified with a 1 star accreditation rating, in recognition of our commitment to our employees. The accreditation highlights the commitment and dedication we have towards our employees. Even through the pandemic, we have continued to keep regular communication with employees and obtain a positive, transparent attitude throughout.
Using the employee intranet, The Hive, we have been able to support people’s wellbeing by encouraging exercise through free video classes, food recipe ideas and collate a collection of mindfulness videos and tips to reduce stress and increase positivity. We have also implemented other digital channels for less formal communication in the workplace to enable employees to maintain important social connections whilst working remotely.
Tim Barclay, CEO at Appello, commented “We are delighted and proud to be recognised as a very good company to work for. Considering it’s our first time participating in this survey and despite our teams going through and still going through a number of significant transformation activities, all whilst navigating COVID, it’s great to know we have very good levels of engagement.
I am so proud of the services we deliver; our people and teams are at the heart of that success. We will absolutely use the colleague feedback from this survey to help us build a stronger, and even more engaged, organisation going forward – watch this space!”
Best Companies, launched in 2000, work with organisations to measure, improve and recognise great workplace engagement using robust methodology.
Jo Hodgson, HR Manager at Appello, commented “We want to ensure that working at Appello meets the expectations of our employees now and in the future. Our Best Companies accreditation shows our commitment to this and our focus on workplace engagement.”
